My Personal Travel Experience

Hi, I’m Shelley!

I’m a FIFO wife, a mum to two curious kids who keep me on my toes, and a proud dog, chicken, and duck mum (yes, my backyard might as well be a zoo!).

Travel is my obsession—whether I’m planning our next family getaway, reminiscing about past trips, or deep-diving into research for my clients dream destinations, I’m all in. I’ve been lucky enough to explore over 35 countries. Some of my favourite family travel destinations so far include Hawaii, Disneyland, the Maldives, Mauritius, Croatia, the Czech Republic, New Zealand, Singapore, and the USA. And 2025? It’s shaping up to be amazing! We’ve already experienced family holidays in the Maldives, family fun in Singapore, and education escape to Exmouth, where we were lucky enough to witness turtle nesting season and see adorable turtle hatchlings making their way to the sea. We also have trips planned to the Cook Islands and Pemberton. Plus, if I can swing it, I’m hoping to check off Hong Kong Disneyland from the list! 2026 looks incredible with a family adventure in Japan and, hopefully, a visit to Disney World and Universal Studios in Orlando!

Last year, we took the kids on their first cruise—a Disney Cruise on the Disney Wonder—and they absolutely loved it, especially the nightly theatre shows! Now we are adding more cruising onto our ever-expanding family bucket list and would love to sail with Royal Carribean, Carnival and MSC.

 When I’m not planning our next family trip, you’ll find me trying (sometimes successfully!) to grow my own food, reading a romance novel, or testing out new recipes—made extra challenging by a fussy eater in the family.
